Bedroom Blooms

So, after working on my fluffy pom poms for a while, I thought I’d share our beautiful bedroom blooms…

I’ve always liked pom poms, but after seeing Ashley’s adorable nursery, I just knew I had to recreative a similar vibe in our bedroom. The pom poms are hung with clear fishing line and attached to a frame constructed of wooden dowels. Once we hung them above our cozy vintage “fireplace”, I was in love.

The pom pom cluster was the first step in creating this whimsical bedroom nook. Now that they’re complete, I have to get crackin’ on rounding up more books to fill my fireplace.

87 books didn’t make a dent…

I’m a little over half way, so if you know of any good (cheap) book sources let me know. I can’t wait to get it filled and be able to sit back and admire our dreamy little love nest.
What’s “blooming” at your house this weekend?

That's just wonderful! I love the poms but I love the fireplace more! Goodwill and salvation army by me has books for super cheap, that are similar to what you have in there now.

I love this and I really want to hang one of my own. Are you able to give a little more detail in the dowel frame for hanging? Thanks in advance!

Hi GiDu – I purchased wooden dowels from Hobby Lobby. (The ones that are about 3-feet in length.) I used two dowels for the "long" sides of the rectangle and cut one dowel in half for the two shorter sides. I then secured the ends together using a rubber band and hung it from the ceiling with twine. Hope this helps! 🙂

Kayla – I believe I bought the honeycomb globes from Factory Party Direct (http://www.factorydirectparty.com/8-ivory-honeycomb-ball.html), however it looks like that color is currently out of stock. Boo!

I bought the poms! I wonder though, did you get ivory or a different color lantern? They look peachy to me!
    Thanks 🙂

      Hi Nisa!
The lanterns I bought were called “ivory”, however they do have a slight tint of “peach” to them. When the lantern is collapsed (which is how you will receive it in the mail), you will notice the edges of the paper are colored a rusty red color. I think this contributes to the “peachy” color when the lantern is assembled. Hope this helps!
