It seems like love is in the air. With the holidays behind us, everyone gears up for the season of love and of course Valentine’s Day.
To celebrate this fun time of year, Blue Eyed Yonder is throwing a PINK sale! From now until February 14th book any of our “pink” pieces and receive 20% off your rental! (And by “pink” I mean anything that falls in the pink/red family.)
Maybe you’re planning to host a girlie Valentine’s party with some of your besties, a crafty party with your kids or a hot date with the Mister – browse our inventory and pick out something darling!
It’s funny, you’d think since we are still in the beginning of January we’d be bundled up in scarves and boots. Here in Atlanta I’m blogging in a tank top and this weekend is suppose to be near 70-degrees! That’s one thing you have to get used to if you’re gonna live in the South – weird weather.
You’d think as a Southerner I’d long for warm weather, but I actually like the cold. Maybe it’s because I’m such a huge fan of warm fires and cozy socks and happen to own more than my fair share of scarves. How can you blame me? When you run a vintage rental business it’s actually nice to not break a sweat once in a while.
That’s why I love these wintery images by the amazing Rylee Hitchner. They’re from a recent shoot we recently did with Ginny Au of Bits and Bobs for Once Wed. You see, most people rush away to the lake or to the beach when summertime rolls around, but there’s something extra special about these places in the winter. The solitude. The peacefulness. The sun shining deep into your sweater, allowing each fiber to come alive and wrap you in warmth.
I loved how they used our Weathered Beach Chair to evoke the feeling of a modern day Hemmingway. So soft, so romantic. Kind of makes me want to plan a weekend getaway. How ’bout you?
I’ve been busy, busy editing photos and adding more and more to our online inventory. I’ve barely grazed the surface (eep!). That’s why I always say, if you’re looking for something specific, just ask! You never know, I just might have it.
I wanted to share some of my fun large accessory pieces to kick start the weekend. These pieces are so unique and my mind is spinning with fun ways to use them.
This gorgeous coat/hat/umbrella stand (above) is made of iron and weighs a ton! Some people ask if I plan to paint it, umm…. no! You know me, I melt when it comes to chippy paint and distressed pieces.
These darling pieces (below) are some of my favorites. I’m dying to see that chicken coop packed full of florals. Whatcha think?
I literally smile every time I look at this lovely chair. For whatever reason, we’ve always called it, “The Grandma Chair”. I think it’s because the floral fabrics with orange and gold colors remind me of my great-grandmother’s house. Mema Griffis – such a witty lady. She loved to laugh and made THE BEST biscuits. The memories of her furniture are a bit fuzzy, but I am pretty sure she had similar colors in her decor. I remember lots of browns, oranges and golds. If she were still alive, I’m pretty sure this chair would make her smile too.
There’s more… don’t miss these lovely additions.
Deck the site with lots of goodies… fa la la la la… la la la laaaaa!
While we’ve been experiencing record-breaking temperatures outside, Mr. Blue Eyed Yonder and I have locked ourselves inside to tackle a much needed project – NEW INVENTORY PHOTOS!
We have over 100 new items coming to the site and we’ll be sharing them with you on the blog throughout July. It’ll be just like Christmas! So grab a cup of egg nog and bust out your shiniest tinsel, you won’t want to miss these goodies!
We’d love to know what you think of the new pieces. Any favorites? Any that bring a special memory to mind? Share you thoughts in the comment section.
Merry Christmas! (Err…) Happy Summer!
