Salvage Lounge

It’s been a couple of weeks since Salvage, but any time I want to brighten my mood I just look back at these photos of the Salvage Lounge. Nothing like a vibrant, retro lounge to lift your spirits.

Blue Eyed Yonder sponsored this event by desiging a fun, throwback lounge. Just a comfortable little nook for shoppers to rest their feet and hang out. This also gave me a chance to introduce some of our mid-century pieces. Most of the pieces used in the lounge are brand spankin’ new and are not even listed on our site yet. Aren’t they fantastic?

The real show stopper was the gorgeous, gold “plate wall”. Yep, that’s right, the groovy gold backdrop is made entirely of paper plates. Mr. Blue Eyed Yonder is getting really good at making my crazy visions come to life.

In designing the lounge, I wanted to incorporate many “salvaged” or repurposed items into the decor. I made a banner of “salvaged” newspapers from my recycling bin, a centerpiece with mis-matched mason jars and a backdrop of leftover paper plates found in my Dad’s pantry.

This lounge had so many adorable features, which one is your favorite?
