Georgia On My Mind

Sometimes don’t you find yourself so busy, you fail to notice some of the most beautiful things around you?
I know I’m guilty. At times, everything seems so fast paced, like the world is actually spinning faster. Sometimes I force myself to just stop what I am doing and look up at the sky. Most of the times it’s only for a second or two, but in those brief moments the world slows down and I’m all alone. Just me and the sky. There’s something quite comforting about that.

A week ago, we had the opportunity to take a quick trip to Lake Blackshear to help a good friend with his marriage proposal. When we arrived at the lake, we had some time to ourselves so we slipped down to the lakeshore to get a few moments in before the sun set. We were only out there about 30 minutes, but the beauty of the lake and the sunset was so renewing.

What a beautiful place to propose! I mean, could you say no to this sunset? Unbelievable.

As the sun sank lower, the sky swirled with pinks and blues. I absolutely could not stop staring at it – completely mesmerizing.

Beautiful images and sentiment – I often fail to see the beauty in my own surroundings. I am trying to learn to see them more often. I have to admit I am better at it in summer than in winter.

Gorgeous! Gorgeous!! One of my favorite things about this time of the year is that I get to watch the sun rise going into work and then watch it start to set on my way home from work because of the shorter days. Getting to see such beauty always refreshes me and makes me feel so blessed to be alive!!

Thanks for sharing these beautiful pictures and I can't wait for the rest of the details to this story!! 🙂
