Austin Vintage Guide

As you can tell, there’s never a dull moment with my sister, Katie. While browsing Austin’s vintage hot spots, we found these insane fur coats and just had to strike a pose.

We spent an entire day rummaging through Austin’s vintage scene – had a lot of good finds and a lot of good laughs. There’s so many awesome shops in Austin, it would take at least a week to poke your head into all of them. I thought I’d share a photo recap from some of the stores we visited along with store descriptions from Austin’s Vintage Around Town Guide.

The find of all finds was found at Flashback Vintage. Mr. BEY found an awesome 1970’s three-piece suit that fits just like it was tailored. Score! Katie bought an adorable fur collar with a vintage brooch.

Austin’s premiere gentleman’s vintage store. That’s right – only guy stuff from the 50’s to the present.

Mr. BEY found lots of great pieces in this gem of a store. A sharp tweed blazer, vibrant print button up and a snazzy vest.

Always revolving, carefully handpicked vintage from the 40’s to the 90’s. Come check out our huge selection of cowboy boots, gorgeous party dresses, vintage jewelry and kids clothes.

I had jewelry on my mind as I browsed through New Bohemia. I found the most adorable screw back earrings, it was hard to narrow my selection.

Uncommon Objects
1512 S. Congress Ave., 78704
Open Sun-Thur 11-7, Fri-Sat 11-8
Vintage mecca, this enormous emporium of antique goods will delight anyone who likes old stuff. Your eccentric uncle’s attic on steroids. Amazing curiosities arriving daily.

Last, but certainly not least, was my favorite stop in all of Austin, Uncommon Objects. I seriously grabbed Mr. BEY by the sleeve and told him my heart was gonna explode I loved this place so much. I don’t think I have ever been in such a beautifully curated antique store in my whole life. It was an experience all by itself.
