When you see her precious aprons, your heart will just melt. She was super sweet and sent aprons for all of the worker bees for this week’s workshop. We’ve been looking so cute as we run around.

Time to meet another lovely vendor participating in this week’s A Lovely Workshop: Bonnie of Southern Sprout

Bonnie’s as sweet and Southern as they come. She and her darling husband, Doss, are the total package – from calligraphy, chalkart, graphic design all the way to photography and furniture making! Their blog, Southern Sprout, journals their creative adventures, which includes a huge remodel they did on their charming home.

For A Lovely Workshop, Bonnie created a gorgeous chalk-illustrated welcome sign and I had the pleasure of driving her precious art down to Sea Island. So pretty!

“I love my job; it allows me to see and experience, hands-on, the amazing features of the South. In my spare time, I am a magazine-flipping fanatic. Looking through a glossy magazine never bores me. I love to decorate. Making my home a reflection of things I really love. Cooking-up an interesting dish with whatever I have in my pantry or fridge at the current moment is my specialty (though my husband might disagree).” – Bonnie

One of the greatest things about being a part of A Lovely Workshop is by far all of the lovely vendors I’ve had the opportunity to connect with. While us busy little bees are buzzing away down at Sea Island this week, I thought it would be fun to introduce you to some of the awesome people that have so generously given their time and their talent to make this workshop absolutely incredible.

This Queen of the quill probably needs no introduction – Maybelle Calligraphy + Illustration

Her work has been featured in Martha Stewart Weddings, J. Crew, Chronicle Books, Ann Taylor and many more! For A Lovely Workshop, Maybelle is creating beautiful love letters and 30-feet of hand scrolls.

“I find inspiration in everything around me, including everyday life, Japanese culture and craft books, botanical illustrations, old letters, embroidery and so much more. Much of my inspiration comes from such hand-wrought things as have been left to us by the beauty and wisdom of history.”  – Maybelle

Just pinch me. If you would have told me back when I started Blue Eyed Yonder that one day I would be hanging out in Sea Island with Ginny Branch, Amy Osaba and Elizabeth Messina my honest reaction would have been – “shut up.”

It’s funny when you stop to take in the moment and realize you’re living your dream. It’s pretty amazing actually.

This week we’ll be in Sea Island working our fannies off creating gorgeousness for Elizabeth’s A Lovely Workshop. Each day we will create a different styled shoot – new location, new florals, new props, new furniture. For this workshop I’m handling all the furniture and set design. I’ve had my little townhouse packed out with two large scale projects I’m creating for this workshop.

I hope everyone had a wonderful week! I know it’s Spring Break season and lots of people are traveling and breaking in their first pair of flip flops this season.
